Open Day at the National Reference Centre for Livestock Farming in Lorca
On 24 September, an Open Day was held at the CIFEA in Lorca, to present to the livestock sector and society in general, the creation of the National Reference Centre for Livestock in Lorca, by Royal Decree 871/2015, of 2 October, of the Ministry of the Presidency (BOE no. 245, of 13/10/2015) with the participation of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, Ministry of Labour, Migration and Social Security, through the SEPE and the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
There was a reception and official presentation of the CRN by the Director of the Centre, Mr. Antonio J. Hernández Copé, and the Director General of Agricultural Production, Livestock and Marine Environment, Mr. Francisco José Espejo García.
Mr. José María Ros Piqueras, Head of the Department of Accreditation and Recognition of Professional Competences of the CRN of Livestock, presented the general lines of the Multiannual Action Plan 2019/2022. A summary was also made of the main conclusions of the Study of Training Needs of the Livestock Sector, which has been carried out by a consultancy firm, in order to plan the Action Plan accordingly.
The event was attended by, among other professionals from the sector, Mr. Antonio Navarro Pérez. Councillor for Rural Development, Agriculture, Livestock and Parks of Lorca City Council, Mª Sol Sánchez Jodar, Spokesperson for Consumer Affairs of the Socialist Parliamentary Group in the Congress of Deputies, José Antonio Sansegundo, Chief of the Local Police and Pedro Andrés Montiel, Commissioner of the National Police.
The President and Secretary of the Association of Purebred Horse Breeders of the Region of Murcia, President of Adespo-Lorca, Directors of the National Reference Centres of the Region, representatives of the Social Council of the CRN of Livestock, businessmen representing the sector, agricultural organisations, students and professionals of the centre, etc.
There was a tour of the facilities and a snack of local products.
